LEVEL WELCOME
Beginner to professional. All instruments.
This course
is for you if
No matter
where you
are in
your journey.
Doesn't matter what you play or how long you've been playing. Kenny works with every instrument and every level.
THE OVERTHINKING MUSICIAN
Practice has become so loaded with meaning and pressure that you can barely sit down to do it.
THE DEDICATED PRACTIC-ER
You put in the time. Mistakes still feel like failures. Progress still feels out of reach.
THE FRUSTRATED PLAYER
You keep starting back up and stopping because practice never feels like it goes anywhere. Reaching the goal seems hopeless.
THE MUSIC TEACHER
You want a clear, proven framework to help your students actually change how they practice.
THE PROFESSIONAL
You practice consistently but can't seem to raise your level. More hours, same ceiling.
THE STUDENT
You're overwhelmed by everything you need to work on & end up skimming the surface or playing something you are already good at. No progress.. and worse, you’ve gotten used to that.
If practicing had no more investment than brushing your teeth — no more self-judgment than that — you would have no trouble doing it twice a day.
Kenny Werner has taught musicians across every tradition for decades.
THE PROBLEM
It’s not talent. It’s not effort.
It's how you were taught to think about practicing.
01
You're practicing to sound good — not to get familiar
Every session is a test you could fail. So you avoid mistakes. And the mistakes stay — because carefulness conceals them from you.
02
Your identity is tied to how you sound that day
If it doesn't go well, it confirms what you feared. So you don't start, or you go through the motions. Either way, nothing progresses.
03
You never learned how to cultivate a method that allows you to do it with ease.
You have a preconception of what practice is: what makes it worth it or not worth it. You then have years of feeling like it’s not worth it.
Kenny’s method helps to free the fear and the inner critical demons that block our ability to find our own unique feel, instead of analyzing what we do in relation to our favorite musicians.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By week 15, you will be able to…
Concrete skills that allow for specific, measurable change in how you relate to your instrument.
01 | HABIT
Start your practice — every time, without dread
Build a starting ritual that removes the friction entirely. The paralysis stops in week one.
02 | DIAGNOSE
Pinpoint exactly what's wrong in your playing and what to work on next
Not "practice more." Something specific enough to feel the shift in a single issue.
05 | CONSISTENCY
Practice daily — without forcing it
As uneventful as brushing your teeth. Consistency arises when you don’t burden your practice with meaning.
03: MINDSET
Use mistakes as information — not evidence against you
Each mistake becomes a roadmap. You'll learn to seek them the way a doctor seeks symptoms.
04 | METHOD
Build a personalized practice routine that actually compounds
A method built around your instrument, your goals, your specific sticking points. Not a curriculum — a practice that's yours.
RESULT
Higher level of precision with ease and clarity
Whatever you can play right now will begin to play itself. Because you've removed the thing that was blocking it: you.
Five ways into the work.
